Why the GOP is Schizophrenic…Summary Of A 1993 Republican Health Reform Plan – Kaiser Health News

Summary Of A 1993 Republican Health Reform Plan – Kaiser Health News.

This was their plan in 1993. Universal Health Care. Read it and weep.

Tell me now how this isn’t about race. There is no other answer.

Seriously, I was alive in 93 and I don’t recall ONE person hoohawing about Health Care.

It is almost verbatim the PPACA. Derp!  That the GOP would shit on Health Care Reform that they basically wrote belies mental illness on their part. Ironically, that would be covered for treatment were they to pass the bill Obama put forth OR the bill THEY put forth.
Boggles the mind.

Come on “conservatives’, hit me with your best shot.

After the disastrous end of the Bush Presidency republicans underwent a purification. Stark conservatism, zero compromise. The 93 GOP plan was, barely, a compromise.
Is it about race? Yes, undoubtedly. But please remember this isn’t your father’s republican party!

My father was a shamelessly logical Democrat, like his momma raised him. 😉 Otherwise, I agree. They got away with the Patriot Act and never looked back. What else can we take from people? Money? Check. Freedoms. Check. Health is all that’s left! Assholes.

I don’t think its about the color of anyone’s skin but it is about the colors red and blue (and maybe green) The Republicans are single minded in opposing anything Democrats propose, even if its their own plan, because they want all the power, money, and credit for themselves.

Its not not about color, I know that much. It may be about money, but consider how the GOP 1993 plan would have cost the same as what we have here. Kinda makes that claim dubious at best.
